# Room in the Tank > A light capacity check for adults who have been asked to take on one more standing commitment, at https://room-in-the-tank.skillsafe.ai/. List what you already keep each week with its hours, whether it lifts you, leaves you even or drains you, and whether it is fixed or flexible, then the new ask and the hours a week you are willing to give. The page stocks a fish tank, does the sums and makes the call. One metered run writes a note per fish, a note on the new one, a rehome note and a smaller yes where the sums call for them, and a short line to say back to whoever asked. URL: https://room-in-the-tank.skillsafe.ai/ API tutorial: https://room-in-the-tank.skillsafe.ai/api.html ## What it does - Inputs: the new ask (name, hours a week, how you guess it would leave you, optionally who asked), the hours a week you are willing to give, and up to eight things you already keep, each with hours a week, how it leaves you (lifts, even, drains) and fixed or flexible. - Free, in the browser: the sums (hours kept now and with the new one as shares of your hours, and the share that drains you), the fish tank (one fish per commitment sized by hours, the new one waiting in a bag, a net over the one to rehome first, water that clouds as the draining share rises, a side gauge with 85% and full marks) as SVG or PNG, the call, the rehome pick, the smaller yes, Markdown, CSV and JSON downloads, and saved tanks with earlier calls for the same ask. - The call, first match wins: already overstocked (what you keep now is over your hours), no room for this one (it fits now but not with the new one), murky water (more than half the hours would drain you), a snug fit (over 85% of your hours), room in the tank (anything else). - Rehome first: for overstocked, no room or murky water, the one flexible commitment to trim, pause or hand back: draining before even before lifting, then the most hours, then the earlier in the list (murky water: only flexible ones that drain you). A smaller yes: the most quarter-hours of the new one that keeps you at or under 85%, when that is at least half an hour and less than the full ask. - Metered (one run on gpt-terra): a note per fish, a note on the new one, the rehome note, the smaller yes and a line to say back. The page checks the reply against its own sums and calls and flags any number that is not yours. Two buttons try the tank without the rehome pick, or with the smaller yes. ## Contract POST https://api.skillsafe.ai/v1/app-api/run with string fields: task = "stock", willing_hours, commitments (one "c1: name - hours h a week - lifts you / leaves you even / drains you - fixed / flexible - share" line each, or "none listed"), new_ask, asked_by (or "nobody named"), facts (the page's sums and calls). The reply is one JSON object: {task, headline, fish: [{id, note}], new_fish, verdict, rehome, rehome_note, smaller_yes, reply_line}. ## Notes Friendly arithmetic, not professional advice: the hours are your own estimates. If you feel worn out most days, talk to someone you trust or a health professional.
